Here’s the Mario Golf: Super Rush character roster:
Mario Luigi Peach Daisy Rosalina Pauline Donkey Kong Bowser Bowser Jr Chargin’ Chuck Boo Toad Yoshi Wario Waluigi King Bob-Omb
Each has a special power and different specialties, e.g. strength or stamina.
Mario Golf Super Rush has six courses total, though it seems like there’s plenty of variation with each course. Weather changes in the basic forest course, for example, and at least part of the Bowser’s Castle-themed course unfolds over lava flows outside the castle.
Challenges featuring classic Mario enemies such as Pokeys, plus the ability to control spin and other factors affecting the ball, make this more than just your average golf game.
If normal golf isn’t your thing, though, Speed Golf injects Super Rush with Mario’s characteristic whimsy and no shortage of special powers. Up to four players rush to get their ball in the hole first, unleashing special dashes and power shots to crush their opponents in the process.
Battle Golf is a new Mario Golf Super Rush mode that ups the stakes from Speed Golf. Here, you’ll need to capture three of the nine holes to win, but the field is smaller and full of obstacles getting in your way.
Story Mode (finally) sees the single-player adventure from older Mario Golf games return, where your Mii character learns golf from the Kingdom’s brightest stars. The abilities learned transfer to the game’s multiplayer as well.
Speaking of Mario Golf: Super Rush multiplayer, you can play with up to three others in local and online play. Mario Golf: Super Rush releases June 25 for Nintendo Switch.
